After a prolonged seven-year delay, Tana River County has finally taken charge of the completion phase of its county headquarters project.
Acting County Secretary Madam Mwanajuma Hiribae has reaffirmed the county’s commitment to completing the remaining 80% of the construction works for the County Headquarters that is ongoing in Dayate, Wayu Ward, in Galole Constitiency.
By prioritizing the completion of this project, the county is not only ensuring the provision of a state-of-the-art facility but also addressing the pressing issue of inadequate working spaces for County staff. This commitment reflects a proactive approach to meeting the needs of both the government and the community it serves.
Additionally, the cooperation between the County and other levels of government, as evidenced by the successful handover exercise led by the Inter-Governmental Relations Technical Committee (IGRTC) Member Mr. Wilson Pere, shows the importance of intergovernmental collaboration in achieving developmental milestones. Such initiatives not only strengthen infrastructure but also encourage a sense of unity and shared responsibility in advancing the welfare of citizens. As the project nears completion, it is poised to significantly enhance administrative efficiency and service delivery, ultimately benefiting the residents of Tana River County.
H.E the Governor Maj. (Rtd) Dr. Dhadho Gaddae Godhana who spoke from Nairobi stated, “The successful finalization of the handover exercise for the Tana River County Headquarters construction project marks a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and administrative capacity within the county. We commend the dedication and collaboration of all stakeholders involved, and we are committed to ensuring the timely completion of the remaining construction works. This state-of-the-art facility will not only provide our county staff with improved working conditions but also symbolizes our commitment to progress and development for the benefit of all Tana River residents.'”
