H.E the Governor Maj. (Rtd) Dr. Dhadho Gaddae Godhana today met with the PS for Water, Dr. Paul Rono at the Ministry headquarters in Nairobi this morning.
They discussed about the immediate commencement of water projects especially the 10 proposed dams in all the constituencies in Tana River, that are aimed at easing the perennial water shortages in the County.
Later on, the Governor also met His Excellency the Deputy Ambassador for Netherlands to Kenya, Mr. Joris Van Bommel. Their discussions also revolved on water funding in Tana River. H.E has vowed to engage all stakeholders to ensure the water issue in Tana is resolved once and for all.
On Sunday, H.E the Governor demanded that the national government, should not leave Tana behind in the national development agenda.
